Which fitteds have snap-in soakers? I'm starting to LOVE our Loveybums and Sugar Peas because of that snap-in soaker which makes it SO easy to clean a messy poopy. Most of the poopy is caught on the soaker, so I can just snap that out and clean instead of getting the whole diaper sopping wet.

I adore our Firefly fitteds because of the perfect fit and complete leak-proofness, but messy poopies are hard to clean.

Thanks!

PS- while I have your attention, where is a good site to buy some essential oils, and which oils would you recommend for laundry and household use? I have some Tea Tree Oil which is going fast!

Well, actually a lot of fitteds have snap-in soakers. In addition to those you've already mentioned, Tykies, Bijou Baby Gear, Cherry Bomb Baby (if you request it), Calico Baby.... And then some, like Sam's Fitteds, don't snap in, but they do lay in, making it just as easy to spray the poop off. Of those I've mentioned, I think Bijou and Tykies are narrower in the crotch, so you tend to get poop on the diaper around the legs as well, which means you have to spray into crevices. And of course, there are those diapers that don't have it, but which you can just easily add a doubler and/or fleece liner, making it easier to spray off the poop.

For essential oils, and in fact, for a lot of my homeopathic needs, I go to IHERB.com, which has quite good prices, plus a daily discount (look at discount codes at the bottom of the page). And there's free shipping for anything over...$20 I think.

I don't use a lot of essential oils in my wash, but I do consistently use Eucalyptus Oil, Peppermint Oil, Tea Tree Oil, Lime Oil, Lemon Oil, and Lavender oil. Oh, and Grapefruit Seed Extract. I use these mostly in my cleaning products.

Of the ones we have (that weren't already mentioned), Full Moon Baby Gear and Patchwork Pixie have snap-in soakers as well. :)

I've seen them a lot of places, and I know there are some that will do it on request too. So it never hurts to ask! :)

If you prefer fitteds with covers, you could also try a pocket fitted like Harleyz http://hyenacart.com/wahmarama/ or Luxe (I snagged a tester and it's fabulous) http://hyenacart.com/LuxeBaby/ --I'm sure some other WAHMs make these too as the TNT (turned and topstitched) diapers are getting to be so popular now. Anyway, the pocket fitted would be easy to get the poop off as the soakers are inside the fleece. If you're feeling sparky, you could try making your own with a Darling Diapers pocket fitted pattern.

I get TTO at Harry's/Whole Foods--there is one brand significantly cheaper than the other. It comes in a dark purple (?) bottle. I also get Peppermint oil by that same company. I got Sweet Orange Oil there as well to make my own wool wash.

In fact, I would find diapers that you really like and then ask the WAHM if she can do snap-in soakers. :)
