hi gals! lurking a little now and then. missin' you. still can't seem to figure out how to do ANYTHING but feed/chase/clean/hold kiddos. i truly do not understand how any moms with more than one kid ever do anything but chase kids or fold laundry while playing a video... schuyler refusing to go to bed before 8:45pm and dylan waking up at 5am is not helping!

anyhoo. my brag: SCHUYLER IS POTTY TRAINED!!!!!!! we are only using diapers at naptime and bedtime. he is in underpants full time when awake- even when out and about!!! he has an accident here and there... but getting less and less frequent. no accidents all weekend-not even on a 3.5 hour car ride!!! (and we put a diaper on him for the ride- he just chose not to use it!) i am so proud of him!! it is truly his accomplishment- my goal was to shoot for 2 1/2, but he is only 27 months.

my very best advice to potty trainers is to let your kiddo hang out in just a shirt or naked ALL DAY. potty ready all the time!! ;)

Woooooohooooo! Congratulations Schuyler! Liza, I am tickled pink for you that Schuyler finally PT'd. I know his super soakin ways was driving you crazy! That is so awesome!!! So now you have only one baby in diapers. Whew! Half the diaper laundry in one go. That's pretty nice. :)

As for your advice--that's sort of been my plan, but I'm not sure about timing yet. She has had nekkie time a few times this month, and watched herself pee 4 times, with a very a surprised look on her face each time. :D I think she's still too young, though, but maybe in the next few months I may try it.

Hi Liza! I'm glad to see you here. Yea to Schuyler!! That is just awesome. You must be doing more than just chasing kids if you managed to get him potty trained :).

I hope you get things back under control and come back here more often. We miss you, too.

Wow! Congrats to you and Schuyler. Alex is only a few weeks younger, and we haven't even considered it. Can I ask how verbal Schuyler is? I kind of feel like Alex needs to be able to communicate more before we even give it a try, but I could be totally wrong.

Hope to see you around here more often.

That's awesome! I miss you around here, but also can imagine having your hands totally full chasing 2 kiddos.

And hey, your birthday is the day after mine! (OK and a few years)

schuyler is VERY verbal. (if you met me and DH you would know why... we are big talkers! ha!) he speaks in 4-5 word sentences. he often says things like, "garbage trucks pick up trash cans." which is very amusing. but the point is- he tells me "mommy, want to wear wiggles underpants" or "wait, mommy! want to flush my poopies!" ;) (well, he actually says "mine" instead of my...)

Yea for Schuyler! That is fantastic. Naked is the only way I could train my oldest 1 DS. Logan was 25 months and Connor was 28 months.

Good to "see" you around Liza! And congrats on the potty training. It is the thorn in my heel right now. I guess I am goiung to have to go cold turkey and just do naked time. Thankfully it's hot now, so it's the perfect time for it, but I am sooo scared about about having pee puddles all over the carpet and poop leaking out! What was your experience with this? Thanks for the advice though!

Abe (just turned 2 on 7/02) will tell me he has to go poopie and is speaking a ton BUT:

1) will only tell me (he was in DC but out for the summer)

2) Sorry if TMI: Will poop a little bit and say he is done

He will go but still poops every once in a while in his diaper. I haven't been puching it because I have always thought that is a LONG road (alright, alright, read lazy mama)

Hiya Liza!! Been missing you around here and hoping you're OK. Congrats to Schuyler! Caleb is also talking a LOT too - doesn't use prepositions much yet, but will say something like "I want mine raf (giraffe) diaper". He can tell me when he has to pee and poop but WILL NOT sit on the potty. No way, no how, ain't gonna do it no matter HOW many jelly beans you give me! He's also starting to pee less often so is a super soaker and pees through everything :( UGH! I wish I could figure out the perfect bribe! Tried leaving him naked and he screams for his dipe as soon as he feels he has to go. Bummer....

As to barely keeping afloat with 2 kids, I hear ya honey! My computer time is all when C is napping and Sophie is either nursing or in the sling. I SHOULD be folding laundry right now, but figure I need a break too right?
Take care hon and glad to "see" you :)
