View Full Version : AIO drying tips?

I bought our first true AIO recently, a Honey Boy. It took forever to dry after the initial wash, so I was hesitant to keep it or use it too much...but then we tried it out...holy cow!!! PERFECT FIT. Seriously, this is by far the best fit we've tried. Flawless everywhere, and even survived nap with no leaks.

So, since I'm loving this diaper, any tips on how to get it to dry faster?

Mariana,
No advice on the drying (as I'm still waiting for my HoneyBoys), but wanted to say so glad you love it, as I knew about the drying problem, but went ahead and ordered a couple anyway...

How long did it take for it to arrive, I'm just curious (and impatient!)

Thanks,

e.

I don't think there is any way to get them to dry faster. I'm exclusively quick-drying here!

You can turn your washer back to an extra spin cycle at the end and that will help get more water out so that everything dries faster.

It might help, it might not.

I ordered from Stitch n Stuff in Canada, and I think it took about 2 weeks, total time. We have the Turtle embroidery on the bum....love it!

It was SO absorbent too. It lasted a whole nap time PLUS an hour of play with daddy...when I finally changed it, there was still no moisture coming out at all. I'm super pleased!

I don't know if it will make a big difference in drying time for AIOs, because I've only used it for clothes, but you could try wrapping the clean, wet AIO in a clean, dry towel and gently press out as much moisture as you can.

Also, if you're drying them indoors, they will dry faster in circulating air. I have a fan in the room where I dry DD's diapers and it seems to really make a difference.

Hope this helps a little,
Karen

Along those lines, when I'm drying wool covers, I have the fan (small duracraft) blowing on the drying rack and it makes a huge difference, especially on the Aristocrat. Anyway, yes, having that fan circulating makes all the difference in the world.
