View Full Version : Ugh, I should know better.

I put DS in a disposable today as I had workmen in and out of his room, AND I thought disposables would be easier. After using cloth for 8 months and NEVER having a poopy blowout, I should know better. What a mess on him, clothes and now that he's *found* his penis he grabs it at every change. Cloth is so much easier!

Ugh, yuck! It could also be that he's outgrown the size or fit of the disposable so it no longer works as well.

I do think we need to go up a size. But, cloth has never failed us. My friends don't believe me when I say we have more mess in disposables. I've subtly tried to convert a few, but no success...yet.

Yeah, I tried converting my sister and yoga teacher and so far, no success, although my sister is open to trying it out after her babe (due in a couple weeks) gets a little older.

Never give up hope, I have two converts in the last year. And I am so proud to call them my fluffy friends now.
Plus, I told my neighbor about them. At first, she looked at me like I had two heads, but I sparked an interest and that is where it all starts.

I hate blow out sposie mess.

I love telling people how, if we are out of diapers, I don't have to leave the house, I can just go downstairs and throw a load in. So much easier than driving to the store and paying $12 for a pack of inferiors, lol!

I saw a very pregnant mama at Wal-mart last night around 10pm buying a box of Pampers size 5's, she looked so tired and worn out, and that is all she got! I pray that will never be me. :)

Christy, I totally agree with the ease of throwing on a load of laundry rather than getting DS in the car, dragging the two of us through Target and back home. Plus I never just get the diapers, I always see something else to buy...sneaky marketing that I can blame my sister for (marketing professor). Again, friends don't believe me when I say it's so easy.

It's never too late to convert. I started CDing Tori when she was about 17 months old. I LOVE it! We're still building up a stash to go full time, but it is easy and I feel so much better about it. I'm definitely CDing DD2 when she comes.

My sister, who lives in London, emailed me about a colleague at her work that wants to use cloth with DC#1. My sister told her everything I do, and has asked me to put together some web sites and information to help this woman decide. Not really a convert as she was interested herself, I'm just helping to push her in the right direction.

Cool! No convert with my older sis yet, but perhaps when their babe is a bit bigger, they may consider it.

Me, too! Geez, I did the same exact thing today- and felt like a great big idiot. We were in a tearing hurry to get out of the house today to go out to eat, and for some stupid reason I thought it would be easier to just throw a sposie on new sweetpea.

Major BF poo blowout!! I just forget about dealing with that, because the CDs hold it all in. I always carry an extra outfit just in case, but NEVER need it. So, I got slack about it. . . and today my poor angel had no clothes to wear! The extra outfit was in the car. I cleaned him up and put him in a CD, then swaddled him and we trundled out to the parking lot for a clean outfit. I felt so bad for him. Live and learn!
