Before I purchase, I thought I'd check with the experts...

I'd like to buy some prefolds primarily for non-diapering uses (e.g., burp cloths) since we don't have an in-unit washer/ dryer.

I found the following special:
Chinese Prefolds Infant 4x6x4 (bleached 100% cotton diaper service quality ): $9.95 a dozen

Is this a good price?

TIA,
Tamar

If you know the quality is good, that is a great price. Most CPFs run about $18-20/dozen, even Gerber prefolds are ususally $15+ /dozen. Gerber flat folds, which I absolutely love for burp cloths, are $10/dozen.

Can you share your source?

absolutely - I just didn't want to waste everyone's time if it wasn't a deal :)

Here's where I found the diapers:

Unfortunately, shipping charges do add to the cost...

Those are infant prefolds, which are tiny diapers! They may not provide the coverage that you are looking for in a burp cloth.

Oh hmmm. they seems be the same size as the diaper/ burp cloths at/ from the hospital (12 x 16).

I kinda liked the size. Maybe I should get a dozen small ones and a dozen of the Gerber flat-fold.

Argh - why does this have to be so complicated :(

Thanks for all the help! Other suggestions/ recommendations appreciated.
