View Full Version : Anyone's dc just not fit into FBs at all?

So now that summer's over, I want to go back to PUL pockets, but Rory's thighs are WAY to big for PTs and her waist is far too small for Larges. (They're pretty snug on the thighs too, actually.) Is it just my kid??

Thanks,
Jude

Actually, PTs *just* fit Kaya when we tried them way back when but they were on the snug side enough (around her thighs of course) that I decided against them. Then we discovered she had problems with PUL anyway, so it was a moot point. And yes, the large ones were pretty enormous on her as well. Snap-EZ fit Kaya much better. By the way, have you considered fleece pockets at all or is fleece a problem for you?

i pulled out my fb's and they are not fitting right on my ds. they are a size med and when i put them on him on the tightest snaps as he walks around they fall off of him. there is no way that i want to downsize to a small and anyway they always drooped in the butt really bad. i have found that the med swaddlebees fit him really well :) i also still like my hh's for nap time.

They haven't ever been a great fit on Fory, either. He always needs the loosest or 2nd loosest thigh snaps, and the waist is huge. I can use larges for nighttime, stuffed full of flats, although I need to overlap the waist snaps sometimes. I also prefer SnapEZ. Have you tried Harleyz applix PUL pockets? I love the side-snappers you sold me, BTW.

No problems with fleece, but I haven't found one that's trim enough for me. FBs and Harleyz are about as bulky as I can go, since we need 3 Joey Bunz in there and I hate to weigh her down, LOL!

Good, I'm glad they work for you! I love the Harleyz PUL pockets, but they're so expensive (Snap-Ez are worse, I know!) I also think she might be outgrowing the M/L and I can't find sizing info for the max and haven't had the chance to email Shannon yet.

I'm thinking I'll try Calico Baby AIOS and maybe Swaddlebees...what do you think? And if I can snag some Harleyz at a good price, I certainly will!

Actually, my windpro fleece Snap-EZ pockets are really quite trim, especially compared to my Apronstrings Fleece pocket. But it's true I haven't tried a size large fleece Snap-EZ on Kaya yet. I'm using the mediums because they're so much more trim than the large would be. For diapers that are absorbent enough, I've started sizing down for Kaya when I can because they are more trim. My current favorite diapers are Sam's Fitted because they are so absorbent and because Kaya can fit in both a small and a medium for those diapers.

I'm assuming that fitted diapers are out? If not, Bijou Baby Gear are probably my most trim diapers. Add a thin nylon cover or Motherease Airflow and you're done. VERY trim combo.

try crossing over the waist snaps. that is what i do for schuyler. he has a super skinny waist. (not skinny legs, but definitely not chunky either, so maybe it won't work...) it will look weird. but it worked fine for us.

I haven't tried Calico Baby AIOs, but I really like my FMBG AIOs. Forrest is not a heavy wetter, though, pretty light, I think.

Try a Fuzzibunz medium or a kushee tushees large. My best guess is that the PT -(I assume you mean fuzzibunz petite toddler) runs a snug in the leg openings. I find that it is the length of the crotch that affects this the most. I also find that you can get a snug fit on the kushee tushees waist without pinching the thighs Be sure to check the weight chart because your child may have had a growth spurt and need a change in size. My own son is chubby in the thigh and narrow in the waist. He takes a large Kushee tusheez and there's no pinching. At the same time, he can wear a regular medium FB (even though FB's weigh/size chart would have put him in a large. The only way he fits the large FB is with a hemp prefold inside--its that big. Please let me know if these suggestions worked for you.
