I figure there might be some people here who uses disposables sometimes or all times, and might be looking for an earth friendly option. Here is something that came across on another listserv I read.

"I've just found a new brand of diapers: Nature Boy and Girl
(http://www.naty.se/). They're compostable! Made of Corn - no plastic. And are available at Amazon.com for about 35 cents each.I had been using the Seventh Generation ones, but like these just as much."

35 cents a diaper is pretty high, isn't it? My sister said 7th generation diapers are 25 cents each (which is already pretty expensive compared to the usual diapers), so 35 cents sounds really pricey!

The ability to compost them might be an incentive for some.

I buy 7th Gen. diapers for use at night. The cheapest place I've found them is through our food coop which makes them about 33 cents each. If the compostable dipes are only 2 cents more, then I'm interested as long as they are comfy & do the job!

I'm having trouble getting into the site, I can't get past the 1st page of English... I'll check out Amazon though.

Thanks for the info!

I've heard they aren't very good. They are thin like paper and don't absorb well.

I tried these in the past and did not like them, though they have probably improved on them since then.

Compostable sounds good but if they're in a landfill they won't decompose unless exposed to sunlight.

I think 7th Gen diapers are MUCH better than these!
