for some new fluff! Poor little G only has some PFs, secondhand kissaluvs 0s and littleman's old covers- I'm getting the itch to get him some WAHM fitteds. I can't really afford it right now, but I might have a little diaper money soon. So in the meantime, why don't you ladies help me window shop?
He's already about 13 lbs. Right now he has a 13" rise, 13 1/2" waist and 8 1/2" thighs. It looks like he could already wear mediums in many diapers. Any fabric is OK- he's not sensitive to fleece and I don't mind hemp.
What's great? What's adorable? What's available?

What about Daisy Doodles? OK, so they're not fitteds exactly, but she's taking customs. . . and I've wanted to try one. But would they be good for a BF baby? G is pooping a little less often now, so the whole shell/soaker thing might work for him. . . anyone who's tried them want ot chime in?
I'd LOVE to try a FLAG size 1- do you think if I e-mailed her she would take a custom order? I know these used to be really hard to get. . .
What else might be fun?

Sorry, no experience with any of those diapers. My current favorites are Sam's fitted (that Saarjte dyed for me in a gorgeous purple), Bijou Baby Gear Basic Hemp (which could be dyed, but haven't been), and Kindhearted women. Jen's list is pretty long right now, but you could put your name on her list and then check her instock store from time to time.
And right now for Sam's fitted, Kaya can fit in both a small and a medium, but the small ones are much more trim. I use the medium ones mostly for naps. They're Kaya's most absorbent diapers, especially when I double up on the doublers.
For Kindhearted women and Bijou Baby Gear, Kaya can fit in both mediums and large.
If it helps, Kaya is 23.5 pounds, has 11.5" thighs, 17-18" waist and something like a 15" rise if you measure from the belly button.

Ann (Righteous Baby) recently opened up her customs list again. I have a slot if you want to add one to my order. :) I have a size 1 FLAG PUL handpainted shell set with either a cat or a dog on it if you want to try that (new, unused).
We're pretty boring on covers around here lately. I reach for the ME Airflows for Gracie and the prorap or Bummi for Eli.

So, I could just pick any custom FLAG fitted and add it to your order? Or your custom order is for the shell set with cat or dog, and you're saying I could add another one of those to your order? (Sorry if I'm being thick here!)
I think I might just take you up on this. . . looks like I do have a little change for the diaper budget!

I was already looking at kindhearted women, but it doesn't look like she has anything available right now. Looks like Bijou Baby is still closed, too- but she's supposed to reopen soon. I'll check for Sam's fitteds- I have ordered stuff from Jen before (mama cloth), and been very pleased!
Hmm, so perhaps I'd need to stick with a small in the Sam's, but a medium might work in the others.

You can have her make anything with the custom whenever she gets to my name on the list. I personally already own the shell set.

I like Enchanted Nursery fitteds. They are nice and trim with the foldover elastic binding. Also very affordable. Medium should fit your guy, on the tightest snaps.

Loveybums also has dipes stocked. Another great WAHM, with very good prices. I like the sherpa dipes. No prints, but nice colors.

Ooh, those look cool- and affordable, as you say. The instock mediums at the enchanted nursery are cute! Hmm. . .
Of course, I've been wanting to try a Loveybums. . . have you tried the organic cotton ones? What is Sherpa exactly? I have some sherpa wipes, but don't know what it's made of- cotton? Are the sherpa dipes pretty absorbant?
Thanks for the recommendations!

Sherpa is cotton, and its really similar to what Kissaluvs are made from, but my Loveybums aren't scratchy, like the KLs got after a while. I haven't tried the organic cotton ones, but I'm sure they're nice, LOL. The sherpa dipes are fine for us, but Forrest has never been a super-soaker.

We love our Daisy Doodles! They are my fav going to grandma dipes. I've "trained" my MIL on how they work. ;) Plus they are nice and trim, although Tori still gets a bit of baby got back in them.
Other fitteds we like: little beetles (or ladybug as dd calls them)with a snappi closure and wallypops. We have a sugarpeas, but I'm not crazy about it. BTW, my dd is 20 months and tall and lean. Happy hunting!

Muttaqin Baby has some beautiful mediums in stock. I have two Mutt velour fitteds and they are sooo soft. My little guy has skinny legs and they are a good fit on him.

Cool. I think I've decided to wait on the Daisy Doodles, but they are still on my list of things to try!
Thanks for the recommendations! I've never heard of wallypops- I'll have to look those up. :)
