I've never posted in this forum before but I had to share my geeky excitement with somebody! I did not CD with Roley, even though I had vaguely thought about it. It seemed too hard to master when I was trying to master everything else and I never knew anyone who did it before. Oh, if I had only discovered these boards in time. Anyway, I use these cheepy little cloth washclothes to give Roley "comfort wipes" after she has a BM and I started to think that a cloth diaper site might have really comfy wipes. I searched here and on Mothering and finally settled on the sherpa/velour wipes from Jillian's Drawers. Oh my! My 10 came today and they are terrific! I kept petting them, they are so soft. And pretty! Even the white ones are pretty! I cannot contain my excitement! Now I have a little bit of understanding of what it might be like to get real fluff mail. I'm so sad that this is my first and only bit of fluff. I'm going to go pet my wipes some more before I wash and dry them.

LOL, yes isn't fluffy mail great? Who can explain the delight we feel? Cloth wipes are a nice place to start. You know, if you're interested you could try mama cloth- then you could get fluffy mail for yourself! ;)

I remember getting my first fluff and thinking - a ha, this is why they are all so hooked!

The WAHM cloth wipes are wonderful. We use them for everything here - not just diaper changes. They are are wash clothes, tissues, I use them to wash my face. Ours are velour/sherpa and I just love them!

Yup, we use them for everything as well. And I often use them and my minishower instead of toilet paper--I've saved quite a bit on toilet paper, LOL!

Cloth wipes were our first thing, too. :) My second was mama cloth-- I got some HH pads to use postpartum when the disposable ones started irritating my skin. There is NO comparison. The cloth is infinitely more comfortable. After that it occurred to me that if cloth was infinitely more comfy for me, the same was probably true for my baby. And he cinched it by being sensitive to sposies. I'm still at the starting gate, definitely, but it's a lot easier than I imagined.

Now I want to go buy more cloth wipes! We use them for so much around here we never got to use them much on Toby's bottom. But I should have them use them after bm in the toilet to make sure he is clean. Dry toilet paper just does not do it for a 2 year old's bum.

Agreed! Kaya started pooping today (after saying, "poop") and we couldn't stop her because both bathrooms were in use (arghhh!!!). Anyway, it was a big mess and DH was trying to clean it off with the toilet paper and finally gave up! I ran and got a couple of cloth wipes and soaked them in water and oh, my, what a difference! I use these things for my bum now because one day I noticed the paper was really irritating my own bum and again, oh, my, what a difference! :)

See, I knew that you would understand (and tempt me, LOL!) After not even a week, the wipes are our favorite! They wash and dry very well and I have been fastidious about pretreating them and keeping them wet before they go into the wash, so they still look pretty. After everyone's confessions, I'm not afraid to admit I have been using them too! DH is a little skeptical, but really, they are a million times better than toilet paper and certainly better than the scratchy washclothes I was using on Roley before. Thank you everyone!
