Okay, so I'm going to venture into the world of pockets. I was going to buy one small FuzzyBuns, one small Happy Heineys and one small Baby Blanket to try out. DD is 3.5 months old and on the small side (12 lbs.), but she's a soaker. What inserts or stuffings should I buy to try with these three dipes? I have a ton of PF's, but I'm looking for other ideas. Anyone?

Personally, I would recommend a combo of MF and Hemp. Back hen I was using pockets regularly (and I still use my fleece ones occasionally) what worked for my soaker was a lizajane night wrapped in a MF towel. That usually worked pretty well.

ETA: I notice they have an inserts sampler pack at clothdiapersNmore (from the Diaper Hunt). They may have an extra % off for being part of the diaper hunt.

Ditto with Eileen... we do a combo of hemp and microfiber.

Love our Lizajanes. Have a few Joey Bunz, Lizajanes give you more soaker for the price!

DS can still supersoak some nights, and 1 LJ and 1 microfiber towel will hold it!

Wow, I'm impressed. I need to use a LJ night + a Zannadu giant MF towel. A regular MF towel is not enough!

Well, I got my LJ's straight from the source. :) She was selling them through TheBabyBlankets website, but then the woman sold the business and LJ had a baby. Personally, I would just e-mail her and ask. You can e-mail her through the boards.

All our LJs are nighttime... sometimes there are two in there, and sometimes 1-2 Joeys in addition to 1 LJ. So, not always just 1. (And when DS was in mediums -- the first size we used of FuzziBunz, it was always 4 layers of hemp, but it was before we discovered microfiber towels.)

But DS is starting to not pee through the night already. The first diaper after nighttime is always SOAKED. But, often the overnight pocket is significantly heftier in the morning than it was the night before... (We usually use a hemp prefold for the first morning diaper -- we actually have a few LLL froggy fleecers and nighty newts! Got the last of them right before she closed up shop, and am still awaiting notice that she's reopening...)

I am the lone pocket stuffer cowboy around here. I use birdseye flat diapers. Otherwise known as single layer, gauzy Gerber burpcloth dipes. I also have some slightly thicker ones from Theresea, Granitesmith the ebay diaper seller. Two or three of these, folded into appropriate sized pads are plenty for 12 hour nights for my toddler. In the day, one flat will last for a couple hours. One plus a MF towel will last a good three. Forrest is not a huge pee-er, though. This is a cheap option to try, if you have them around anyway. I like that I never get stink, which nighttime hemp always caused. The flats rinse very easily in the wash.
