I first saw these posted on Karen's Cloth Diaper Page, of which I'm obsessed:
http://diaperpages.com/pockets.php.
Anyone ever try this? I'm just wondering it may be a pretty economical way to get DH to help me with the diapers, as he has no patience for folding PF's, let alone a snappi. This way I could already have the pockets stuffed and he could just place it in the wrap. I wonder if BF poo would roll of this or soak into it. If you think it would roll off this, then maybe I will try some of the PattyNap's Newborn Basic Fitteds for cheap
http://www.pattynaps.com/shop/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=1_10&products_id=5.
I also thought about prefitteds as a pretty cheap option that wouldn't intimidate DH.
I just hate to spend $10+ per fitted for newborn size, since they'll likely be outgrown so quickly and I'm trying my hardest to remain frugal.
What do you think would be the best of the three options for an initimidated DH?
Or do you have a better recommendation?
Thanks!

Well, for leaking poop, I think the socks would be the same as a prefold placed in a wrap. So you'll get poop on the wrap, but if you have a bunch of affordable wraps, it shouldn't matter. Several people here have gone that way and not bothered with the folding of the prefolds. Personally, I liked the option of snappi'ing and I made do with far less covers than one who lays the prefold in the wrap. But I have to admit, the few times I've done it, it has been much easier to get onto Kaya, since it's just one step instead of snappi'ing the prefold and then putting on the cover. The wrap or fleece pocket sounds like a great way of keeping the baby dry, so that would be a good thing I think and definitely worth trying.

I've ordered three of these (two sizes) to try out just for the fun of it and to see how well they work for future reference:

They're $8 each, so not exactly cheap, but they'll let me use prefolds without having to snappi, which will work well for a newborn being watched in Church daycare or babysitter. I'm also thinking of using them with Kaya when I want to let her wander around coverless. I'll definitely report back my review when they get here (which should be this week).

ETA: I added a fleece liner to my prefolds after Kaya was around 8-10 weeks and that worked just fine to keep her dry. The advantage of these "socks" is that the stay-dry area ensures 100% coverage of the prefold or insert.
