Okay, I got my new wool cover from Ruth at Snap EZ, but the note she included with it said it needed to be lanolized. I'm a wool novice (never used my soakers before I sold them). How do I do this, what do I use, and where do I get it????? :) Thanks, mamas!!

Ha, ha, well the usual way is to fill a bucket or sink with tepid water and add either liquid lanolin, or lanolin from the tube that you've dissolved in a small amount of hot water. Swirl around, add the garment and let soak (I usually let it go for at least an hour), squeezing it gently every so often. Then take it out, squeeze out the water with your hands and place it in a towel. Roll to squeeze out most of the water and hang to dry (I usually blow a fan on it so that it dries in a couple hours or less).

Okay, once I've done that the first time around, I do it the lazy way every time after. :) After washing with something like Eucalan (or any wool wash), I'll just spray with my spray lanolin. :) Seriously, I love this stuff because it's soooooo easy! I got several bottles from someplace (that I can't recall at the moment) that got sold or went out of business or something like that. I'm running low, so I just placed an order at Northern Essence:

http://www.northernessence.com/catalog.php?page=2&category=24 (go down to lanolin mister). She also has a wool wash that I would love to try, but I'm still using up the last of my Eucalan. I love this store and can't believe I've already placed two orders in less than a month! :)

Oh, and I don't remember if you're doing the diaper hunt, but you can get 10% off with the diaper hunt code. :)

I disolve about a fingers length of lanolin ( still have purlan from bfing) in hot water and then add just a dash of liquid soap and stir then pour it into a sink of cool water it will have a slight milky appearance. I swirl the wool and leave it soak for a while -- until I remember to go get the towel LOL roll it in the towl to squeeze out the extra water and hang dry.
