They're a hybrid diaper! A cloth cover with a flushable insert. Fascinating. They're Australian, and are just now available in one store in Portland, OR but should be available through the website soon. Anyone seen these IRL?

Very interesting. I'll look for these when I visit my family in Australia in a couple of weeks. There are a few other aussie CDs I want to try out while we're there. I'll report back if I find anything interesting.

ETA I did a little more searching and it look like the company is based here, Whole Foods will be stocking them, but there's concern about the insert containing the same chemicals as disposables. i do use a few disposables, this may be a better alternative to that.

Here's a link to an Australian site that sells the same thing but under a different name. There's a little more info. on the nappies.

Hey, if you find anything really cool in Australia, you'll have to e-mail me and I'll ask you to pick it up for me. ;)

Hey have fun on your trip! I can't wait to hear all about it!

My parents live in a town that has a huge outdoor market twice a week. Stall holders drive for hours to be there and most products are WAHM or WAHDs. I'll keep my eye out for things the Butts mamas may like.

OT I found a puppy backpack/leash at Walmart near ILs and today Barrett walked with the push toy for the first-time. I may need to use the puppy at the airport.

If you click on Shop at the top, it looks like you can buy them online. The starter pack is $24.99 and gets you 10 flushables and 2 outers and 1 swish stick. Refills of the flushables are 40 or 32 (small and med/large) for $14.99.

It seems pretty neat, but I worry about the ripping part. It seems like that would be fairly dirty and to have to rip out the outside part of the flushable would be icky. And do I have to swish? Do I have to carry a swish stick in my purse?

They're pretty pricey, but seems like it would be nice to use when out and about. Less to carry home!

Since I'm doing diaper comparisons anyhow, and looking at CD pockets/inserts, and since you can use these with any insert (including prefolds, etc) I am going to be the guinea pig and get a smaple pack. I'll post a review...

Ry: Are you considering cloth diapers? If so, you know that I cloth diaper if you want any info or to see anything IRL. I am talking to the store Weeville downtown about carrying some cloth diapers. She is interested in doing it sometime next year.

I just saw this website for the first time this morning and thought they looked like a great idea. I don't think I'd use them with a septic tank, but with municipal sewage, I'd be willing to give it a shot. I fell of the CD wagon a few months ago and I think this might be the perfect solution for me (and might help with some of my lazy-mom guilt :-) )
As of this morning it didn't look like they were available online, I guess I'll have to go back and check again.

Saccade, if you do try them post a review. I'm not sure about the ripping, swirling bit either. It may be easier to just spray with the mini-shower when at home. They may be handy for out and about though.

I checked the Australian site and there's a store near where my grandmother lives. I'll like to see how they work.
