Up until about three weeks ago, dd had leaked out of her diaper once, when it was very full. Suddenly, however everytime she pees (while on her tummy or back) it comes right out the top of her diaper. It's not that the diaper is too wet because I will sometimes have JUST changed her.
Last night we changed her sheet (and clothes and diaper) 3 times.
At first I blamed the brand of diaper we were using, but we have now tried luvs, pampers, huggies, huggies supreme, and some store brands with the same results.
Now I'm thinking maybe I just don't know how to put on a diaper. I don't know why I am having so many problems after five months of none. I have put them higher, lower, looser, tighter. No dice. Pee comes right out like she's not even wearing a diaper.
Could it be the size? She's about 20 lbs and wears size 3. They should fit, right?
BM stay in just fine.
Please`help! Suggestiond? I am tired of having to stop nursing my baby because she'ss peed in my lap.

I think I'd try a larger diaper (size 4) and see if the problem is corrected. Anytime something comes out of the top of the diaper, IMHO, it's time to move up, LOL!

FWIW, I think we moved up to size 4 (we use Luvs and Pampers First Steps) when DD was about 20 lbs.

Peeing through a diaper like that is usually a sign the dipe is too small. 20 lbs in size 3 is probably too big regardless of what the packaging says. I'd try a size 4 and if that leaks then a 5 even. DD's been wearing a 4 in Huggies since she was about 7 months and she only weighed about 15 lbs then. She weighs about 23/24 now.

Again, try the larger size dipe and see if that fixes it. At worst, you find that's not it and can try another brand. And if it's not the sizing, you'll still need that size eventually anyway. Moving up a size always worked best for us.

sounds like its time to change sizes. :)
