(X-post from another forum) Does anybody use these on little BF'd babies successfully? I'm trying them out on my nearly 11 weekers and, although we haven't had a poop in them yet, they don't look like they would hold explosive BF poop blow-outs.

The reason I am asking is that in my intro package (which I love BTW! HIGHLY recommend it) it includes 1 small FB and 1 small HH that I can send back for a refund at the end of my two week period if I don't like them. I like the diapers a lot, especially the convenience factor for DH but I'm nervous about BF poop blow-outs.

We are FB fans here, have been since day one! Well, really since day 3, DD was in disposables at the hosptial. DD was exclusively BF'd until we moved into the world of solids around 6-7 mos.

Can't vouch for Happy Heinys as I haven't tried them!

I tried Wonderoos, FBs, and Baby Blankets when Kaya was still in the leaky poop stage. The wonderoos did the best in containing it, but it was really bulky on her, so we decided not to use them. The FBs and the Baby Blankets were both terrible at containing her leaky poop. Later on, with diarrhea (so not quite the same thing), I had a little bit of success with Snap-EZ pockets, but in general, for leaky poop, pockets are really not the way to go. However, if your kiddo has predictable poop and doesn't tend to poop at night, for example, you could use the FB and HH for then. But no, I wouldn't generally recommend them for leaky poop. That said, the pockets do fit some kids much better, and even with leaky poop, the pockets do okay. However, if your kid is prone to explosive leaky poop (mine was), I wouldn't recommend it.

I'm glad the intro package is working for you otherwise! One thing you could do is use fitted + a cover for your DH. It's a little easier to deal with than prefolds and it will do just as well. If you stick to velcro on at least the cover, and possibly also with the fitted, then it will be even easier for your DH because he won't have to figure out which snaps to use.

HTH!

Thanks guys. Yes Eileen, both of my twins have explosive BF poops but DD takes the cake! She only goes about two or three times a week but when she does, watch out! LOL
