any other prefitteds makers?

do i have to prewash or can i make 'em while the dipes is still flat and super easy to sew? opinions? i have only made them prewashed thus far, but if i make them in bulk, i would rather not prewash.

I have only made them from prewashed, but that is because we were using the prefolds for several months already. If you are not putting any topper on them (fleece, etc.) then I would think it would be OK not to prewash. I would be afraid with fleece or other fabric that you would get uneven shrinkage and end up with them all wonky.

I'd definitely wash them 3-4 times first, just like you were going to use the prefold, in order to make sure that any wonky shrinkage is finished before you start cutting and adding elastic. I've never tried it without washing them (it may very well be OK) but this way you KNOW how your diaper is going to be shaped and how big it'll be before it comes out of the dryer, lol. :)
