I went to get DS after a nap and he was standing totally naked in the crib. And yes, he had a lot of fun with the contents of his diaper. I knew this was going to happen, both DH and my sister did the same thing...it must be an inherited trait!

We use cloth, how do I stop him from taking off his clothes, the cover and then the fitted dipe? If it's a disposable, I can use duct tape ala ChunkNicksMom's DH, but what to do with cloth?

Also, how do you clean stuffed toys. Stupid me had a few in there, as I'm trying to encourage a lovey. One was my 20 yr old teddy bear. I don't think spot cleaning will be good enough. In a laundry bag, gently cycle, warm water and then delicate cycle in the dryer???

And DH thought I had it easy being a SAHM as a friend was coming over for morning tea while DS slept. Yep, lots of fun this morning.

LOL, I'm sorry for laughing, but it really was inevitable, wasn't it? You can laugh about it later. In any case, Kaya can take off her clothes and her diapers, and has for many months. But for sleep, we put her in a sleep sack BACKWARDS and although she has houdini'd her way out of it a couple of times, for the most part, it's too much trouble for her to deal with and she is just not THAT motivated to take off her diaper.

For the stuffed animals, yes, I'd put them in a luandry bag, gentle cycle and warm water. And I've dried all of her stuffed animals in the drier on low and it works pretty well. I'm sorry about your 20 year old teddy bear, but if it's a little bit more worn, but at least clean, it's already a better deal, right?

We also have a DS who likes to take his diaper off at naptime. Thankfully, so far at least, he hasn't done so with a messy diaper. Our clean up sounds as though it was much easier than yours, although it was frustrating at the time. The second time, he aimed through the slats and got the crib skirt and floor as well.

Our solution is that he now always has on either a snap-onesie or shorts (or the like) at nap time -- and until very recently, always an X-Large sleep sack at night time. Ours has Houdini'd out of the sleep sack several times too.

I hope you are able to get the bear and other animals cleaned without any further damage! Good luck!! :)

DS was wearing a romper that snaps at the legs, a cover with aplix and a fitted snapped diaper. He got everything off! I was impressed. He has a few shorts that have a zipper and a button, plus they're more of tight fit over cloth, I may have to put him in those. Hopefully, this is something he won't repeat soon!
