I've been using this detergent on all my diapers, and we've decided to start using it exclusively once our Kirkland brand box runs out. They're running a special for the next few days. I went ahead and ordered the 5-gallon bucket and will get a gallon of all-purpose cleaner free. (Should be enough to do our laundry for 2-3 years!) Here's a quote from the email:

"We are having a sale to commemorate this wonderful event. [30th anniversary] From July 3 to July 16, check our web-site (www.charliesoap.com) for great deals when
you buy two of most items. Plus, if you pick up a 5 Gallon Bucket
of Charlie's Soap Laundry Powder, pick any one item of lesser value
and we'll give it to you for free. The discount will be taken manually
after you place your order."

I just gor some Charlie's Soap to try. How much do you use in your CD wash? Do you add more for your hot wash?

I use one scoop - I think it's a tablespoon. (and I'm using the powdered detergent) My water seems to be pretty hard, so I'm afraid to try using less. I add it into the hot wash, after a cold soak/rinse with no detergent.

Thanks for posting. I've heard great things about Charlies. Unfortunately for me, I just bought a huge thing of another detergent. grrrr.

hmm. This is intriguing. Does it really work well with dipes? Does everyone here use the powder v. the liquid? I would love to stop using TideFree, but I worry about buildup on my FBs.
