A few weeks ago I posted that I was desperate, since Hannah's Sugarpeas size #1's were too big and bulky on her, and I didn't know what to do, since they were her ENTIRE stash, and I was out of money. I wondered if I should sell them off and buy some smalls, or keep them for later. I ended up keeping them. And it's a good thing I did.

After using up 2 packs of sposies (ick!) DH kindly told me to "Just get it over with and buy the kid some cloth diapers that fit." I love that man :) So, I order a bunch of different types of small diapers, and by the time they all got here, 3 weeks later, would you believe she had a growth spurt, and the best fitting diapers now are...you guessed it, the Sugarpeas! ARGH! Too bad I already washed the new diapers.

So, we have plenty of diapers now and are rolling in the fluff :) thank goodness! The lesson to be learned here: When something doesn't fit, hold onto it for a little while, because baby's bodies change, and different things work at different times. Also, don't make one type of diaper your entire stash :)

Actually, for the next babe, I have preemie prefolds and infant prefolds (prefolds always help us get through the funny shaped/sized times), 12 kissaluv 0s, 3 Bijou's (small) to get through the smallest stages. Then something like 8 small Sam's fitted (which Kaya can still fit) and a medium Bijou, plus some medium fleece pockets (SEZ) to fit the next stage. Oh, and premium prefolds too. So it's not quite one type of diaper, but I do have favorites based on Kaya. I'm hoping all of these will work for the next babe. :)

So out of curiosity, what kinds of smaller diapers did you get?

Hmmm, lets see. I tried:

Sugarbums side snapping turned & topstitched (rise too high, but very trim like an Elbee!)

Dream-eeze organic velour (LOVE this diaper!) www.montanasdiaperstore.com

Firefly diaper (LOVE this one--ended up buying 6)

Bottombumpers (not absorbent at all, but very trim)

Sugarpeas side snapping (droopy crotch!)

Verybaby (small too small; medium too big in rise)

Green Acres pocket fitted (too bulky)

Diaper Babies sherpa fitted (waist too small)

Loveybums (small too small in waist; medium too high in the rise)

FuzziBunz (not good for her chubby thighs-which is weird since it fit Joshua's older baby chubby thighs great at 1 yr. old)

Swaddlebees (trim between the legs, but rise too high)

Can you tell I have alot to post on the Swap boards? :)
