General procedure when getting used dipes?

I am just wondering what you all do when you receive a used dipe (I'm talking an EUC one, not stained/problematic one)? Wash once? I've read that some people put a bit of bleach in with used dipes - but doesn't that bleach the color out at all? Anyway, if you could post your routine and/or tips, that would be great!

If there were no stains I would just wash once and wear.

I just wash once and wear. But I've started asking what their wash routine is. I use only Allen's Naturally and am less nervous when buying from someone using that detergent.
