I just had this argument with a friend- should she reach around from the back or kind of "dab" in the front? I think i myself do it wrong, just like I learned how to tie my shoes wrong as a child and didn't discover it until college when my friend was alarmed at how often my shoes came untied. But I digress...how should a 3 year old girl wipe herself?

I hope I'm not wrong, too! I guess 'front to the front and back to the back' is how I've always done it and expect my kids to. (yeah, dab for my dd right now... what kids' arms are long enough to reach around that far with any finesse?)

Heck, my arms are starting to get too short (or rather I can't twist enough) to reach that far! ;)

I guess I'll teach Kaya to dab (I've been doing it for her mostly, but she's still young, right?). I think that's basically been what she's done anyway.

Ha! See that's part of my problem, I can't remember how I did it before I was ever pregnant.

I dab/wipe from the front to the back. This is how I was taught & as I have been doing w/DD.

Reaching around from the back seems to be akward for me...

For girls it's always front to back. If she can reach around the back, she can do it that way. Otherwise, dabbing the front, or pushing towards the back works.

I never knew about this growing up BTW, so I always wiped mid to front.
