I would like to get DS a potty to sit on when we're in the bathroom. Any suggestions?
TIA

Don't get the Safety First potty! It's great as a stool but sucks as a potty.

DS likes the Baby Bjorn big potty and the Royal Potty.

Kaya has this one: http://store.babycenter.com/product/safety_babycare/potty_training/3010

and she loves it. Her neighbor liked it so much his mom got him one. The safety first step potty that Angie was talking about does not work well because the opening is pretty small--it's harder for Kaya (and other toddlers) to make sure they pee into the potty. We make do when it's the only one available, but otherwise we don't use it.

ETA: I forgot that we use the insert on the regular toilet sometimes as well and she does well that way as well.

We have the baby Bjorn little potty, it's one piece and super easy to clean. We used it when DD started potty training, and now I keep it in the car for emergencies on the run.

Target has a slightly cheaper version of the Baby Bjorn little potty for 6.99 (vs. 9.99 ish for the BB version). Not that either choice is expensive ;) The fact that they are small IMO makes them feel secure, their feet touch the ground, and they also are all one piece and easy to clean.

We started w/ this and it worked really, really well so I never ventured into anything more expensive. I do have a seat insert for the big potty, although most of the time DS will just sit on the regular seat now. For a long time though, he'd only go in his little potty.

We now have two, as some days he likes using the little one still, and like the PP, we keep the other one in the back of my minivan to use before we go into stores, etc. at times.

we've got the royal potty and here's the problem with it: dd is obsessed with the laser and she likes to stick her hand in the bowl to make the music play...not good....not good at all...
