Are bumkins covers nylon?

Hi All,

A friend of mine just loaned me one for DD to try & we can't figure out if it's nylon or some other kind of laminate. It doesn't feel like PUL & several websites that I've tried checking have been vague (ie, "waterproof material").

Anyone know?

Ithink they are a type of nylon and/or taffeta. I met a woman IRL a few weeks ago who sometimes sews her own cloth diapers, and she indicated that taffeta was a type of nylon and that that's what Bumkins are. Don't know if it's correct...
