Stupid question about sunning CDs

This might sound stupid.... :)

I'm just wondering how/where you lay out your cloth diapers to dry in the sun? We get a lot of sun in both our front & back yards, but we also have a lot of birds and bugs! :) I keep picturing laying out clothing and/or dipes and having the birds do their business all over it, or a bug crawl in or something.

FWIW - I have a cement driveway (and ants), a small wood deck in the back, and I'm thinking of buying a clothesline, except my husband is concerned about the bird problem.... What do you guys suggest?

I had this same thought too: I had a vision of my pocket dipes on the clothesline (pocket side up), and it being gaped open, and a bird coming and pooing in there, and me not noticing... *shiver*). Well, I use the clothesline anyway, and maybe the birds just have bad aim and have missed thus far ;) There are a ton of birds (and really big trees) in my backyard, and so far so good. However, I did have a close call once and there was bird poo on a clothespin (scary!)

I just lay them on a towel outside. I've never had a problem with birds or bugs. Every now and again there will be an ant crawling around. Sometimes I will rewash them after I sun the diapers just to be sure they are clean.

I lay them on my table on the deck. Then I rewash them, or as happened a couple weeks ago, nature washes them for me (It rained A LOT!) I washed it again anyway. :)

I think I like that idea the best - on the table on the deck, with a towel underneath! I'd probably be tempted to wash them again too...
