I've done a search and looked at different places, and it looks like everyone is different. I guess I'm looking for a consensus.

I have 6 Daisy Doodles that are wicking really bad. I also was using All Free Clear for a long time (i.e., since I got them) before realizing it leaves build up. The wicking has gotten serious in the past few days (like, the outside is wet within an hour, and DD is not a heavy wetter by any standard).

So, what do you do?

I run them through hot wash cycles with no detergent until I get no bubbles. I've heard that adding calgon can be helpful, but I can't find it in the stores around here. Once you strip your diapers, try washing the covers using fabric softener and then dry in the dryer. That should help some.

Wicking does not necessarily mean that they need to be stripped. Is liquid rolling off the inside layer? Then they need to be stripped. If the outside is damp, they need to be re-waterproofed (which IMO is pretty common for most AIOs). There is a spray that you can buy but I'll leave it to someone else to tell you the name. I don't do AIOs any more so I don't remember!

I was thinking about that spray too. I can't think of the name, so hopefully someone will remember it (mommy brain strikes again!)

Many companies sell these brands so you'll probably want to google to find the best price.
