I want to buy a pail liner / bag for my Diaper Dekor+, and remembered seeing that some of you had one custom-made.

If you use cloth in your Dekor, please tell me what kind you use, if you like it or not, where you got it, etc. I want something low-maintenance I can throw in the wash with the diapers. WAHMs: feel free to SPAM me. :)

TIA!

I have the Diaper Dekor (2 of them) and I got my pail liners from Snap-EZ. I think I was the first to ask her to make them, so I gave her measurements and she made them to fit. The Dekor Plus is bigger, so if she hasn't made them for the plus, you may want to give her some measurements. She basically made the top to fit nicely over the Dekor insert and then let it go wide at the bottom (so shaped like an Erlenmeyer flask). It means it takes some doing to dump everything in the washer (since the opening is a bit smaller than the rest), but it works and it's worth it because the opening fits snugly, but the rest of the liner expands to hold more diapers. I can also use the liners separately while on vacation.

Sounds great! I don't know for sure how the Dekor compares w/the Dekor+ in shape. Do you use it w/the actual diaper pail insert (the smaller opening), or do you use it more like a standard trash can w/lid? (Does my question make sense?) Does your lid still fully close over the liner?

We use a Dekor (not plus) and got our liners from Ruth at SnapEz about 3 weeks ago. She is not doing custom pail liners any more, but told me that her standard pail liner fits the Dekor - and it does. It has quite a bit of bag left at the bottom so I bet the Dekor Plus would work with it fine (though I've never seen the Plus). I would email Ruth and ask if she knows if it would fit the Dekor Plus. I got 2 of them and it's just the right amount. When I take dipes off DD I unsnap soakers and unstuff FB, so I can just dump it all in the wash and flip the bag inside out and wash with the dipes. It's as simple as possible! My lid does pop open the tiniest bit - I can take a pic if you'd like - but it still contains the smell and I don't mind. I took out the diaper insert from the Dekor, because for me, cloth was too big to push through the tiny hole. Haven't noticed any difference in stink control without that insert. HTH and feel free to ask more questions!

Just wondering if the pail liner fit your Dekor plus ok? Hope so!

Sorry, I didn't see this until now!

AFAIK, the plus and the regular are the same design--the plus is just larger. The liner goes over the pail insert and then the whole thing fits into the pail. And yes, the lid closes just fine. I actually went through a few months of those stupid disposable liners before I realized that I could just get some cloth liners. Doh! Anyway, these days, DD likes to help me put the liner over the insert and put everything in. :)

eta: I measured the circumference of the insert and asked Ruth to make the liner opening the same circumference (I tried other liners, but they tended to be a little larger than the insert and so would bulk up and not close as easily). She added elastic so it would hold well. Then she opened it up so that the shape of the bag looked kind of like an Erlenmeyer flask. She added an umbrella strap so that I could use the liners during vacations. I gave her an overall length and she made it slightly longer (which I'm happy with). I actually have one that she made to exact size, and then when she made me some more (3 more), she made them longer, and it gives me a bit more room.
