Is anyone doing the Great Cloth Diaper Hunt again?

I got an email and registrations just started. The hunt begins on Nov 1 thru the 30th i think.

Just thought i'd let ya gals know in case you wanted to search for that darn diaper...and for the discount.

I registered, and if i make time i'll search for a dipe a day.

I am going to do it again. In the spring, I won one of the second place prizes, and one of my friends won one of the grand prizes. She was kind enough to give me a couple of the gift certificates she was not going to use, so I got a couple of cute diapers as well!

Hopefully we will be as lucky this time. :)

You search for a little diaper icon. Some sites are really easy, some are incredibly difficult, but it *can* be addictive, so be warned!

Thank you for the warning! :) I am already addicted to looking at cloth diapering sites though, so maybe I can consider this productive? :P

Awesome! I tried to get into it at the very end last year, but we we're really into CDing and I kept getting frustrated. This year, I'm hoping to score (at least some discounts!)

I registered, and it finally inspired me to try some CD's (received my Happy Heiny today!) but I'm not exactly sure what to do. I *think* when you find the icon, you click on it to be led back to the Diaper Decsions page -is this right? How do they register that I found a diaper? And you can only find one dipaer per site during the hunt, right?

The hunt does not start till Nov. 1st. No icons should be hidden yet. When you find an icon after the hunt starts you click on it and then enter your email address.

I tried last time (although granted, not that hard), and I've been searching all morning. I've looked and looked at probably 6 or 7 sites so far, and I haven't found a one. Am I doing this wrong? Am I looking in the wrong places?

Where are they usually hidden (don't tell me where one is, and I'm not even really asking for hints, I'm just confused)? I swear I've clicked on every possible thing (about me, links, everywhere), and I just don't get it. This same thing happened last year: I just get frustrated and stop.

Okay, it depends on how the mom chooses to do it, but my very first one (T's Boutique) was a scavenger hunt. So on the first page, she gave a clue and it took me to the second clue and so on. I like those more because they're more fun. But yes, a lot of the moms will just put it on some random page and then you just have click on all the different pages and look everywhere for the diaper icon. Often times they are on product pages, too. Where did you start?

The other thing you can do is visit the hint forum and that will help you with specific sites, assuming someone has already had trouble with the site and the owner has posted a hint.

If you're not having luck with a site, I would just save yourself the frustration and either see if there's anything interesting at that site or just move on. Then eventually, you can always go back to the ones that you're stuck on. Does that help?

OK, yeah, that actually helps a lot. Are there a lot of the scavenger-like ones? Cute Baby Shoes was like that (and I found it!), so maybe I need more like that :)
