I got some! 3 for 35$! I can't tell what makes them seconds, I don't have any firsts, but there's an X on the label... they seem in great condition, at any rate.

Woohoo! Thanks for the heads up!

I just read that a new version is coming out this month, so retailers are required to clear out exisiting stock. Anyone know what the "new and exciting features" are?

just a guess, but...microfleece instead of suedecloth? (at least as a choice)...

Ah... yes, maybe. Shoot. I was hoping they'd change themselves. Now THAT would be new, exciting, and even worth a higher price! ;)

They come with a microfleece inserts. For nighttime, I like using Hemparoo hemp prefolds, or lizajane inserts (if liza is sewing them these days).

I use hemp too- for day, I fold one Hemp Babies in half. Not sure why, but I prefer HB to the one-width type hemps for stuffing pockets.

From what I've heard, the "new and exciting feature" is that they will be made of PUL (like FB's) so you can wash them on HOT without worry of fading or leaking. I picked up 6 of the seconds and I am completely happy with them. The only issue I have found is that the diapers I received only have one crossover tab and the single-layer velcro tab is prone to fraying. (I used Fray-block on the tabs to ward off any fraying issues.)

Thanks! That would make a difference for me. I like the PUL of the FBs. The BGs are sort of "crunchy" to me; not as flexible or something as the FBs. Thanks again!

I e-mailed them directly (as well as several retailers--Wildflower Diapers, for one) and no one will tell! Well, Cotton Babies *won't* tell what the differences are and the retailers say they don't know any more than we do! :)

Interested to see what the differences are!

Oh, that's funny, I just e-mailed Shannon at Wildflower this morning! I guess I won't get *that* answer!
They said, "Coming in November." Ahem... that is NOW. ;)
