I recently inquired about a discount code, but their current website is not set up to do that. They are planning to be able to accept coupon/discount codes when the new website launches after the first of the year.

HTH!

Can anyone share their wash routine for using Charlie's for CDs in a HE front-loading washing machine? I've been intrigued for a while and this sale is a nice incentive.

I do a cold rinse, then a hot wash with one scoop. If things are super duper poopy, then I do a second scoop in the prewash cycle. It's shockingly easy. I used to hate powdered detergent, but Charlie's is like a scoop of white sugar, easy to scoop, no clumping, and cheaper than the liquid (I think? lol, I dunno, that 5 gallon bucket of powder I got for $100 will never run out!)

Julie, now that I've done the stripping of the washer and the dipes, do you think I need to do a second cycle after the wash cycle with Charlie's? I've been doing a cold rinse followed by a wash cycle with detergent and then a cycle with nothing, but now that things have been rinsed much more cleanly, do you think I need to worry about the second cycle? It would make things so much easier if I didn't need to do that!

I'd try it and see...I used to do an extra rinse, but I don't think I really needed to, so I just quit and everything seems fine :)

For those of you who bought Charlie's Soap this past summer during some big sales event, how does this sale compare price-wise? Just curious if they have annual, semi-annual, or quarterly sales, and don't want to stock up too much if there's another sale in a few months!

TIA,

Thanks, Julie--I'll gave it a try and so far so good--it doesn't seem like there were suds left during the second rinse, so it may have rinsed completely clean without a second cycle.

Hey Eileen-
Just wondering if you have a front loader? I forget.
The Charlie's website says it works well in FLs; I'm wondering how it does on dipes.

Yep, I have a front loader (Kenmore 3T--so not the fanciest) and it works great with my dipes so far! I've started using it with my regular clothes and so far so good!

I think that's the washer we have as well.
