Could this be a UTI? Should I call the ped? She has been pretty well potty trained for a few months, at least for urination, more issues with pooping in the diaper, but overall it's just been fine and relaxed. Suddenly she's been having more wetting accidents, last week occasionally, then 3 yesterday and 2 today. But today she didn't bring any attention to it, my husband noticed there was a big wet spot on the carpet where she was playing, whereas other times she at least had some mild dismay. We are being very laid back about it, but I'm wondering if there is something else going on. We've had no major changes, e.g., new baby, moving, etc.. Any feedback appreciated.

DD had a similar problem recently. I called the ped's office and described the symptoms and let the nurse make the call. we went in and did the whole thing and dd was fine. But i'm glad i went. My only question is. Does your dd say that it hurts or not. If she doesn't you might ask her. But i'd still call the ped. Little girls get uti's so easily.

Good luck

schuyler did the backslide thing. drove me NUTS! i had to give him a little treat for every day that he had no accidents. it worked in 2 weeks. no "accidents" anymore. he was cleary going on purpose or just couldn't be bothered to use the potty. i think baby sister may have more to do with it than you think. my guys are VERY close in age to your girls. as soon as dylan started to get really interesting (and therefore got more and more attention) schuyler started the accident thing. 18ish months is a lot of fun- they are running around, talking some, very cute, etc. i would think more about how norah is feeling about leah and try to focus on giving norah some super extra attention.

That is a GREAT point. She has been doing a few other regressive behaviors lately, and Leah has been getting lots of attention because she is such a daredevil. Great advice, thanks.

I agree with this because Kaya has been having wet spots in her undies as well lately, and it has definitely coincided with the baby coming. We still trying to figure out what will help her stop doing it because I'm pretty sure it's not a bladder issue (yesterday we were at the supermarket and she went a long time without going, then we took her to the restaurant bathroom and she peed a ton with no drips on her underwear at all). I may have to try Liza's reward system if all else fails, although we didn't do a reward system to get her trained in the first place.
