So, if you used rewards to potty train your dc (candy, toys, etc.), how do you get them to stop asking/expecting it? dd has been potty trained for about a month now (daytime) and still expects a piece of candy every time she uses the potty. She did pretty much potty train overnight, so it's not like it's been a year of candy everytime she used the potty, but still, it is getting old. Suggestions? Thanks!

We used M&Ms for a while. We kept them in a container in the kitchen. Once we were ready to "wean" DD off the reward, we used the remainder as a countdown. She could see how many were left and when they were gone, we said a few times that we didn't have any, thst we'd need to get more at the store if we wanted them. She stopped asking. She also had the opportunity to "save for later."
