A friend of mine figured out this simple trick to use when traveling. She purchases a rectangle vinyl table cloth at the dollar store, cuts it into 3rds and cuts a hole in the middle of each section. She keeps a section folded in a ziplock bag in her purse. When they have to use the restroom she just places the cover on the seat. There is enough extra fabric to cover and hang over the whole seat so her DC doesn't have to touch anything. Afterward she places it back in the bag and throws it in the washing machine when she gets home.

It works great and it's cheap!!

Thanks for the tip! I'll have to remember this one. We're traveling in a month, and I've been wondering how I was going to stop DS from touching the toilets! The only thing I had thought of was to walk into the restroom with Clorox wipes and clean everything first. At least this is a familiar road trip, so we know where the "nicer" bathrooms are!

Glad press and seal works really well too! I always cut strips long enough and place them in a zip lock bag. A strip on each side and one along the front works really well and it doesn't slip off!
