Hi all! My name is Aleyna. My husband, Steve, is 32 and I am 25 and we live in Missouri. I've been reading the boards ever since I found out I was pregnant and have found some great advice! (I think I'm already part of the CD cult without even having a child yet!)

I thought now would be a great time to come out of lurk-mode and introduce myself. I am hoping to make some new friends, but I have a tendency to just read and not post...something I have to get over. :)

Anyway, that's it I guess.

I used to lurk too and believe me it feels great to be out. Don't be shy since you will have a million questions once your sweet baby gets here and this way you will already "know" everyone that is answering your questions.

Thanks for coming out of the closet and introducing yourself. :P

Hi Aleyna - What a beautiful name! Anyway, welcome to the boards! It's a wonderful community and I think you'll find it to be a huge help! You wouldn't by chance be from the KC area, would you? If so, there are a few of us here in KS that would be nearby you. You can email or pm me through the icons at the top of my post if you want (especially if you don't feel comfortable posting here). Glad you de-lurked!

It feels good to de-lurk, doesn't it? Welcome!

Andrea-

No, I'm way on the other side of the state at the bottom...almost in Arkansas. Not much around me as far as civilization is concerned. :( Memphis, TN is about 1.5 hours south and St. Louis is about 2.5 hours north. *sigh* Thank the gods for the internet!!!! ;)

Wow - that's not very close! Bummer! Well, if you ever get up this way, let me know! Glad you're here on the boards though. :-)

Hi! I also usually just read and never post, mainly because I feel like I don't have alot to contribute since I haven't had my baby yet! Nice to "meet" you! :-)

Just wait Renee, you'll have questions! And then you'll become an old pro and have lots of input to give moms-to-be!

Hi Aleyna!

I'm sure you'll post more as you get closer to the due date and prepare for the new arrival. It's a great place to hear from others' experiences and get a sympathetic audience.

I'm due around the same time you are -- June of 04! I'm due the 20th, how about you?

I'm also in my 20s with a 30-something husband -- my DH is so ready to be a dad. I think it's really nice to be with someone who is ready, especially since this pregnancy sort of surprised us and I don't always feel ready for it myself.

Anyway, hi! :)

Are you even further south than Cape Girardeau? I've spent more time than I care to think about in Cape for work, and can understand you thanking the gods for the internet... Not that Missouri isn't a beautiful state :) but I never find much to do down there other than work, eat and sleep.
