I have been lurking for a few months and finally have some time to introduce myself. My name is Sterling and I am a SAHM to 8 children. We have 4 boys and 4 girls. Life is hectic but I hope to be able to positively contribute to this community on a regular basis. :)

Welcome aboard (pun intended!). You are my new hero. I am so impressed that you actually have time to get on line. I find it difficult with just one. I look forward to your future posts Sterling.

Teva...you have such a happily contagious personality. It is so hard to express "personality" on a chat board, but I can "feel" your energy. Thanks for the welcome. And no hero here...just a momma like all of you. I've just got a few more to worry about. :)

Katie...cute rhyme...I laughed when I read your post. YES, we are done! However...we are not permanantly "done for" yet, IYKWIM. It just seems so permanant. Thanks for your post. :)

Lana...one word of caution about my name...and I bet if you think for a second, you'll probably guess what some of the kids called me growing up...yup...sterling SILVER hah hah hah. Um, yeah really funny. :) It's kind of grown on me, so I guess it's a keeper. :) Thanks for the welcome.

Thanks for the kind words. I was at Sesame Place in PA today with my dh and ds. We were sitting at a table eating while ds napped. There was a couple at the table next to us who had 4 boys ranging in ages (my guess) of 1yr to 7yrs. The oldest was very well behaved (except for spitting watermelon seeds onto the floor with gusto!). The next in line was a little devil }( and looked just like his dad. The second youngest was having a hard time not being the "baby" anymore and was very "close" to mom and the baby was so cute and laid back. I was watching them (trying not to stare) and thought of my mom, who had 4 girls. (I never realized how hard she must have worked until I had my son.) I actually approached them and complemented them on how well behaved all the kids were. Don't know why I'm mentioning this other than to say it was so nice to see the four kids interacting with each other and getting along. Anyway, it's late and I need to get some shuteye. Night Night:-)

Holy cow - you're BUSY! LOL, welcome to the board. I'm the oldest of 6 (DH is #4 of 6), so I know what great fun a big family can be. There's a 16-year spread in my family, though, and I now coach my bro's soccer team. What great names you have for your kids, especially the youngest ;). What is Ansley's middle name, if you don't mind me asking? We've got Ainsleigh Fiona over here. Welcome!!

Hello Sterling!

I'm new to the board too, so hopefully we'll be crossing paths. How wonderful that you have such a large, beautiful family. I can tell from your replies that you have a great personality and probably are a really kind and patient mom.

I also have a Gavin, so I agree with everyone else about your great taste in names! Funny enough, Graham is near the top of the list if our next one (next year maybe, if we're so blessed!) is a little boy!

Have a sparkling day!

Hi Sarah...thank you for the welcome. Our Ansley's middle name is Ann. A bit boring I know, but it's my middle name and we figure her to be our last child...Fiona is beautiful. :)

Michele...you are so sweet. Thank you for your kind words. We are a VERY busy family...most days I don't know if I'm coming or going! LOL But I do not remember life without such business, and I wouldn't have it any other way.
There is a sad but beautiful story surrounding our Gavin. Someday I will share it. Thanks again for the welcome. :)
