View Full Version : Over-opinionated Hubby says I look like a "hippy"

He says I look like a "hippy" when I use my Hotsling! Ugh! I called him a "square" in return. :)

He likes the look of the KKAFP better than the Hotsling, as if there's a big difference. I think it's just the fabric of the Hotsling that he has issues with, as if it even matters to him...he doesn't even have to wear it anyways.

Does anyone else get this kind of feedback from their over-opinionated husbands?

LOL - DH (who wears a sling in the house) took one look at my new Kozy last week and announced that I "had just out-chrunchied all of Berkeley." Oh well. He thought the sling was weird at first too until he figured out how well it calmed her.

LOL - They just don't get it! That's funny though.

LOL. That is too funny. Which fabric did you get?

We live in VT (originally from NYC). I haven't worn my Hotsling yet. But somehow DH says I managed to get a trendy-looking crunchy sling. I got the wine kimono brocade with a light blue flower fabric on the reverse side. It's beautiful! Kristen picked out the matching blue flower fabric. I think she has it paired with a red brocade in a picture on her website. I can't WAIT to wear it. Since we live in the Burlington area I think it is still appropriate and not too trendy/NY. Surprisingly, I don't see many people wearing slings here.

DH actually said he wants one it looks so cool. LOL. I think he was part kidding. I was almost ready to order him one. :)

Not from my DH - from my former employer! We went to a pig roast at their house and he said "where did that come from? The U.P.? (I'm origanally from Michigan's Upper Pennisula) It looks weird..." blah blah blah. I said that it didn't come from the U.P. and slings were popular in the city (I don't know if that's really true, I don't live in the city). And I still got grief. So then I said "All I know is that I have both arms open and my baby his sleeping. Look around. Do any of the other mothers/fathers have the same luxury?" End of conversation!

LOL! I just got a Hug-a-Bub, and my DH tried it on first. Before he had it fully tied, he remarked that he looked like a samurai. After it was tied, he said he looked like a hippie.

At least he tried it on. My DH refuses to wear anything that isn't black, khaki, or navy, and collared. It's not surprising that the Hug-a-Bub is like some radical new style! ;)
