View Full Version : Loving my fleece pouch - now need help choosing a warm weather pouch

I've been carrying DS (4 weeks old on Wed.) in my KKAFP for the last four days straight. He loves it, I love it - it is the only way I can do anything with my hands all day or attend to DD. But, it has hit 70 here the past few days and the fleece is just too hot for us.

Should I get the KKACP or is there a better lightweight fabric pouch? I need to get something fairly quickly since we will be sweating in the fleece until the new pouch arrives!

Thanks in advance for any recommendations!

Well, I don't have a KKAFP (but I did buy my first other brand fleece pouch yesterday and love how cozy it is!), but I do have a Hotsling that I still love. It's only one layer, so perfect for summer, and I got the stretch cotton, so it still stretches some (not as much as the fleece though. I definitely recommend a stretch pouch. Hotslings.com is great, but you can also check out Booparapture.com or any other sites mentioned in the pinned thread above. :)
Good luck!

The KKACP is NOT the same design as the fleece one-the cotton one has the snap area folded over instead of spread out and I did NOT find it to be very comfortable.

I would go with one of these (they all get great reviews)
www.hotslings.com (nice stretch cotton, great fit)
www.lucky-baby.com (nice lightweight cotton fabrics, nice fit, toy/key ring included and it's reversible)
www.heavenlybundle.com (haven't tried one yet but I will, great reviews)

If you want adjustable you might try to find a mom and me creations Pea in a Pod hemp pouch-not as hot as fleece but nice and stretchy.
or
www.mammasmilk.com

www.thebabywearer.com has lots of reviews!
Good luck

Hi, I love my (nonadjustable) Chic Papoose -- double sided cotton, super cool looking and not bulky at all.

The Slingset is available for pre-order. Don't know when they're going to be shipped, though.
