I'm looking for a summer sling for my 7 mo. old. He's 28 in and weighs 19 lbs. I used to carry him hip-style with my KKAFP but I still felt some strain. I'd like to continue to carry him hip style ... any suggestions as to what would be a good choice, i.o.w., less strain?

TIA!

What about just a cotton pouch or a solerveil ring sling? (You could use the extra tail to cover him while he was napping)

What about a light woven wrao, a gauze or an Ellaroo? You can use it for hip carry, but if he gets too heavy you can do a two-shoulder carry. And they are light.

If you like wearing pouches, the Hotslings Deluxe Pool Pouch might be the answer you are looking for. It's thin, lightweight, supportive, comfortable, folds down to nothing...and best feature? UV protection! You can use it in the pool or shower too! We love ours.
