If that is true, than what is different about the MeiTai style carriers?

We have been using the BB since Isabella was born- she didn't like lying down horizontally in the sling when she was a newborn and now it's too hot to use since we have a fleece one. I am buying another pouch sling in cotton but really want a MeiTai one too. Can someone please tell me if the NT is ok to use these and what precautions to take?

Thanks! I have been worried about this~

I found this via thebabywearer.com

Looks like the BB isn't the best choice.

I found the tummy to tummy position (in a sling or pouch) the easiest to do when my ds was an infant.

Mei Tai supports babies totally differently. They aren't supported at their spine like in the Bjorn. Their entire bum is supported in like a pouch. They don't have anything between their legs. Does that make sense?

Deb and Holli,
Thanks for your information! Now I feel better about the MeiTai. I am so excited to retire the BB and only use my sling and MT.
