We finally got the hang of our ring sling, and I'm lovin' it! I want a second one, since our's looks pretty springy. What are some of your favorite slings for everyday use? I'd love a pretty Oopa, but are they really practical for daily wear? Thanks!

Hands down my favorite ring sling is from Jan Andrea. Her shoulder pleating is so comfy and she's now making a version of the oompa slings at a fraction of the cost. Jan is also super nice to deal with. Her website is

I really like my stretch cotton Zolo. The shoulder is very comfy and the pocket comes in handy for your wallet and keys. Then you don't need a purse! I also love my silk Oopa and I think it is one of the most comfortable slings I have ever owned. I wish I could wear it more often but I rarely sling DS anymore. I'm sure I will be using it a lot more when baby arrives.

Another vote for Jan Andrea's slings. I have a nice neutral khaki cotton sling from her. Goes with everything. Like Alexis says, very comfy shoulder. I have heard great things about the Zolos, too, just never tried one myself.

I like my Maya Wrap - I find the fabric comfy, easy to adjust, pretty, a nice weight, doesn't wrinkle, looks great after being washed & hung to dry.

I am a seamstress, so I've only sewed my own... but I really like Jan's sling design. She has sewing directions on how to make your own sleeping baby sling, which I used and loved. Jan also knows a ton about sewing and fabrics, so I highly recommend hers!

Thanks everyone! I decided to go with a Sleeping Baby sling, mainly because her prices are AWESOME! Thanks for the advice!
