View Full Version : How old when you can put them with the legs out in a MT?

My baby is 10 weeks and I still put her in with her legs inside but she is getting big and long and the back is not supporting her head well anymore.
I am afraid to hurt her because I feel her legs are still stiffy.
When can I try putting her legs out, to the sides?
FWIW, I am using the front carry. :)
TIA

I had my dd in a Kozy, legs out, when she was 3 months old. She was happy as a clam. I think that if it's a softer MT you can simply scrunch it up a bit so it's not too wide on the bottom (those padded on the bottom would likely not work though). Kelley (of Kozy) also recommends on leg in/one leg out until they are big enough to have both legs out. I personally haven't tried that, but she certainly ought to know.

I've heard it's not a great idea anytime...
