Ergo & Infant Insert?

Hi all - I have an Ergo but we didn't use it too much with DS#1. Now that #2 is on the way, I wanted to see if anyone used their Ergo with an infant insert (it says newborn to 4 months), and whether it was worth it. I wanted to check here before spending the $$ to get it. Thanks!!

I have tried to insert before and it was okay but not anything special, IMO. You could just tuck your baby in froggy style and they would be fine. I would spend the money on a Mei Tai instead. My newborn loved the Baby Hawk.

If you only wanted to use one carrier, then I think the insert would be good. Otherwise, I'm more of a Hotslings pouch or Moby wrap girl for newborns.

Thanks -- I did manage to pick up a hotsling -- so I will try that first before ordering the insert. I appreciate your help!!

i was wondering the same thing--how did you end up liking the hotsling? was it comfortable enough?

DS#2 hasn't been born yet, but I can report back in mid-March or so!!
