So, I may be getting a bit ahead of myself, but oh well, I need to focus on the upcoming warmer weather! I am looking for a waterproof carrier for this Summer for my ds who will be 9-11 months at the time. I have a waterproof hotsling from a few years ago, which I was never really wild about. I am doubtful the hotsling will work this time either because my ds is already a pretty big boy.

So, does anyone have any other recommendations??

I've never brought it into a pool, but I do have (and love) a solarveil sling from zolowear. They advertise them as being okay/good to bring into a pool (and shower) -- http://zolowear.com/ProductDetail.aspx?ColorID=532. Bonus -- they have some sun protection factor.

I know other companies use solarveil in their carriers as well. I started using the ring sling about 9-10 months and think it's a great for the hip carry at that age (and earlier and later --- DD started to fight it around 20-22 months).

Solarveil is great in hot weather and in water, plus it has the added benefit of extra sun protection. A lot of manufacturers have a solarveil version now, so you might want to check into that.

Personally, I'm using a gauze wrap this summer (http://www.gypsymama.com/shop/breeze.htm). They're great because I can do every carry imaginable, they're really lightweight, and they dry superfast (so if I or DD sweats, or if we go to the pool). I LOVE them.
