View Full Version : What do I need for winter?

Hello,
This is my first time posting, so sorry if I get some of the terms wrong (or if this is the wrong place to post this)! I live in Chicago and it is cold today! :-) So that got me wondering, what do the experienced parents view as my "must-haves" for winter?

My son is 5 months old and has outgrown his Snugride. So we are getting him a convertible carseat (Britax Marathon); but I guess that means he will be in his stroller facing forward now so I'm concerned about keeping him warm.

I was thinking about a Bundle Me, but what else do I need?
How do I keep all the wind off his face? Is using one of those plastic rain guards my best bet?

Thanks!

Hi robyn and welcome to the boards! Does your stroller have a available boot? If not the Bundle Me bag would be a good choice. I use the boot and a fleece blanket.

The rain guard will work for wind, but in frigid temp. the plastic gets stiff and is tough to fold and unfold.

Thanks, Vicki, for the tip about the plastic. I hadn't thought of that.

No, I have a Combi Perfect Match so it doesn't come with a boot so I figured the Bundle Me, or a similar product, would work.
