Since a new co-op is on the way I thought it's a good idea to have one thread with all the pictures. (I searched through the posts and I'm sure I missed a few).

So, please reply with a picture of your Ella, so we can all enjoy, and make a decision!

Thanks,

OMG! I just got my Ella today and it is SOOOOO cute! I just love it and it was exactly the look I was going for. I got the Watermelon Stripe backpack with the watermelon bottom and pink piping and pink inner. I also got the paci loop and added 3 more elasticized pockets to have a total of 6.

Well, I was going to attach pictures, but no such luck. I am getting error messages so I made a shutterfly album. The pictures don't do the bag justice! Hopefully this works!

oh heidi, i was looking at that watermelon stripe. do you really love it? i definitely think i'm going to get a striped one. i also like some of the simpler striped ones - i think i remember cabana or something. but i really was eyeing that watermelon stripe thinking it looks super summery. do you think it would also look good with a black bottom?

Heidi,
Your bag looks AWESOME! Makes me wish I had ordered a backback!
I absolutely love the watermelon stripes, very summery, and complimentary with all the summer outfits.

Hi Tammy,

Yes, I am a stripe lover, which I think is why I like it so much. It reminds me of the striped fleurville mothership fabric without the vinyl. I saw the mothership in person and was totally turned off by the vinyl so this is a good alternative. I just got the bag an hour ago, so I haven't gotten a chance to put it into action yet. It stands up on it's own and the workmanship is great.

I saw a striped bag on ebay that sold for 60 something dollars and the woman had a website. Here's what a striped bag would look like with a black bottom. I was contemplating getting the ella with black. Scroll down on this website:

oh wow, thanks! gosh, i think it will be a hard choice! yours looks awesome, but the black could look good too. it will be tough. but i'm so glad to see the watermelon on a bag, because it's sometimes hard on a swatch online. i'm probably going to get a tote. i guess i'll ask them for recommendations too when i finally order. such hard decisions! i might have to get a watermelon AND a cabana stripe. yep, i'm a stripe lover too!! but your bag is so dang cute! you'll have fun this summer for sure!

Here's a pic of my backpack in the Palm Beach pattern. I also ordered and just received another backpack, this one in Ink Spot with a black bottom, red interior, and red ostrich feather trim. I love it!! It also came with the metal feet on the bottom which is an awesome feature that I will add if/when I order another Ella. So far, I love this bag. It is bigger than it seems and holds quite a bit! The workmanship is phenomenal and the fabrics are wonderful.

ETA: OK, I'm having problems with attaching a pic--isn't everyone?--so here is a link to my original post.

No pics yet but i got my Ella Elaine Tote a couple of days ago and i am in love!! It is soooooo purrrrrty!
It is the Sky Pink Red stripe (my MBUS is red) with a light yellow twill interior, dark denim bottom and a red band. The straps are red on one side and Sky Pink Red on the other.

The first thing i thought when i saw it 'Gosh, it is so small'. But after putting everything in there.. it is more than perfect.. definitely getting another one.

I got 3 extra elastic pockets so there are 6 pockets total. I did not get extra interfacing but put a recieving blanket at the bottom and so it stands up good (the blanket is what i use instead of a changing pad). I also got the paci loop and the matching makeup case.
I love the makeup case. I can fit all sorts of small stuff in there (lipstick, mirror, aquaphor, wallet, extra paci.....). I would definitely recommend getting it. I hear the paci pouch is pretty sweet too... i am just not a fan of ribbon closures.

The closure i got was a zipper. I thought this would compromise the space but it really does not. I dont pack heavily (but i do cloth diaper) and there is still plenty of room left.

Anyway... if anyone was on the fence about an Ella... i give it a very big two thumbs up!!!

Beautiful bags, Heidi and Maureen!

Oh, I must have an Ella. I've been playing around on the Ella website and have my colors picked out. Just need that co-op! ;)

Maureen, I am also a sucker for stripes!

It was SO hard to choose, but I think I'd go with the kiwi sky pink stripe fabric (new for spring) with raspberry gingham. I have NO idea what color ribbon would coordinate best with this combination, so I think I'll end up calling customer service and asking for help with that. Oh, and I chose a tote--not sure which size yet, though. I'd like to add additional pockets and vinyl lining, too. And maybe a paci loop. :)

I'm having problems with attachments, but here's the link to the thread with pictures of my Ella bag - it's a Lily, in Geo Squares Black with hot pink. It actually looks great for Spring.

I got the bigger size bag. I don't recommend the changing pad unless you have a newborn, it's way too small for us.

What a gorgeos bag!

Can you say what is the name of the fabrics?

I had to order a subdued version of the girly bag I wanted (so that DH could carry it without feeling too self-conscious) and it arrived today. I absolutely love it! It is an Elaine with black on the exterior, girls and kitten fabric on the interior with the elastic pockets and one paci loop. I also added an exterior pocket where I can stash receipts and other papers quickly. I am really surprised by the roomy pockets and it is not filled at all yet even though I have all of "my" stuff in it (wallet, datebook, meds., makeup). I also ordered the bottle bag and it's bigger than I thought it would be (so I'll save it for when our daughter arrives this summer) and the paci pouch (which I already wish I had two) and the organizer (which holds my cell phone, my son's wallet (with his ID and insurance info. etc. that I carry in the event something should ever happen to me, my store credit/discount cards and a pocket to spare). Lastly, I ordered the make up bag in another fabric (the periwinkle plaid) and it's much bigger than I need so I'll be saving that for my next bag (the backpack I'll be receiving for mother's day). The bags are really well made and I would probably order the feet and add stiffness to my next tote (which I'll hold out for the co-op on that one). I can't say enough good things about it - and had I not found this board, I would not have known about ella-bags so thank YOU!!!

I'm super slow on posting my picture but here it is! I ordered w/my DD in mind, thinking she could use this later as a preschool or overnight bag. She LOVES it (and so do I), the first day she saw it she put it on her shoulder and started carrying it around. DOn't you just love it when your little one validates your choices : )

So cute! Those fabrics look great together. What a great idea to pass it onto DD when you no longer need a diaper bag!

Carrie, that is the cutest bag--I so glad you posted it! I love the idea of a bag to have for when DD gets older. I may just have to order that combo during the next co-op for Kathleen. Great bag!!! :)

Carrie, what a darling bag! Great idea to share with your DD. Our girls are only a day apart so maybe Mia needs a bag too. Gotta feed the need! Of course, right now she's carrying around a Wal-Mart bag of plasticware I need to return to my mother-in-law... ;)

Oh I love the Paris fabric on your Ella! I want to do that for one of my Whimsical bags, but they're out of stock until mid-April :( It's such a lovely fabric.

Enjoy!

If you want the fabric we can get it! :)
Just because you might see some of the fabric choices on a fabric site as out of stock, doesn't mean I can't get it. I have suppliers all over the US and locally!
