After learning of sewcuteboutique from some other posters on this board, I contacted the owner, Cathy, through Ebay and arranged to get the cute Lil' Cowpokes shopping cart cover. It arrived today and everything about it is great. It's very well made, nicely padded, comes with pockets, seat belt, toy loops and a pillow, AND folds up into itself. Cathy's customer service is also excellent. I highly recommend her and her product.

Can you post a link to one of her sales on eBay or her site? I'm interested.

She has a couple of seat covers up right now, but if you want another print you can always email her and set something up. I too emailed her about the lil cowpokes cover and it came yesterday. It's so cute and soft!!

Thank you! Thank you! I bought an Infantino cart cover from this weekend from Wal-Mart and tried it on the cart when I left the store and it won't even fit!

And she has Hello Kitty fabric!!!!!!!! I'm in heaven!

ETA: Since you've seen the cover IRL, how long do you think a child can actually use it, like age or weight limit? I really love Hello Kitty but it may be inpractical if future children are boys.

Thanks.

This is my cover. As someone else has said, she's got a couple of others up for sale now on EBAY. If you're looking for something else, I'd email her. She's very responsive and very nice. I did not ask, but I imagine you might be able to supply your own fabric if you wanted something very specific that she couldn't get.

I think you can use these covers for a very long time. I got a real little boy's pattern, even though I hope to have another baby and who knows what he/she will be. I just couldn't pass up this cute pattern though. I figure they are inexpensive enough that I can alway get another one if I have a little girl some day (there's actually a cute Lil Cowgirls pattern too that I know sewcuteboutique is getting soon!)

Aww, that cowboy print is very cute. Okay, as soon as DH looks at it and give his thumbs up, I'm ordering the Hello Kitty print. Not to imply that I need DH's approval. But if he buys in, I feel less guilty. :-)

Thanks for posting this in the first place.

Ah! she has strawberry shortcake, too bad she doesn't ship here :(
My 5yo would love that for a cover.

Where are you?

Okay, DH says it looks "huge." Is it really bulky? I tld DH it wasn't as if we had to carry the cover around the store. Once we get a cart, we just put it in and go. Men. *sigh*

I'm an indecisive rationalizer so I need more encouragement, folks.

It's only fabric with some stuffing (for softness) so it's not heavy at all. I don't think it's too bulky really either - though it is big enough to fit on an oversized cart (like Costco) which is a great plus. It also folds up into itself and the seat belt becaomes a carry strap so it would be easy and not big to carry. Usually I would think you just leave it in your car, pop it on the cart and off you go. That's what I plan to do.

Anyway, for me a cart cover is a necessity. They also fit restaurant high chairs. I wouldn't put my baby in a germy highchair or cart without one.
Do a search and you will see lots of positive posts about cart covers of all kinds.
Does that help?

Thanks for the information. The fact that it fits high chairs too is another big plus. We always take a travel booster seat with us and we look like we're taking the kitchen sink with us. DH is whining that the cover looks big. Maybe DH is getting self-conscious about taking the booster seat everywhere that he's trying not to have to take a suitcase with us everyhwere we go.

Oh well, I'm getting it anyway. And I'm getting Hello Kitty!

Hi can anyone give me the seller's email address? I am having problems registering at Ebay!

TIA

When I talked to Cathy, she gave me a website she has under construction for the fabric choices. This might not be all of her choices or even current.

However, I ordered the Buggy Bagg from http://www.preciousbeginningsdiapersnthings.com/store/ because of the extra padding.

I just got an email and she will ship to Canada if you pay by PayPal.

ETA: Here is a link to Cathy's website: http://home.earthlink.net/~fltvgirl/ She only sells through eBay, but this link shows you some of the fabrics she has available.

Hmm i may have to look into that further then ;) Many times we are grabbing two carts since dd#2 wants to sit, but she's not too pleased she does not get a "squishy seat" like ds does LOL :D

Thank you for the info,
