I need help with fabrics...

I want to have a striped bag and found 2 striped fabrics. I do not know what to put with them. I was thinking probably a solid, but wanted to see if anyone had a better suggestion.

It depends on what you like. You could put something with multi colored dots or a subtle pattern like a floral in all one color, just a tone on tone mini print is what I am thinking on that. You could do something very bold like a toile print or mutli colored floral. Those particular stripes are very bold on their own, so a solid fabric might work best with them.

If I am using stripes in something, I often use more subtle ctriped fabrics and pair them with a print. For example, a red and white stripe goes more easily with a toile, than a multi stripe would. A multi stripe goes more easily with a subtly colored/print fabric than a loud fabric. If you want the stripes to be the main focus of your bag, I would go with a solid or a very subtle quilters print.

I really like the first fabric you chose w/ a solid denim and maybe cute ostrich trim????
