I am still in the search for the perfect diaper bag for me. I (think) my choices are now down to the T2, VB Carry-all, and the Skip Hop. I've never seen the Skip Hop IRL and would love to see some "real" pics of one - especially the interior so that I can see how it is organized. I love how it has so many exterior pockets. I have seen the one exterior side that has the 2 side pockets. Are there any pockets along the other exterior side?

Also, thanks to everyone for the detailed reviews of the bag. I honestly forgotten about the Skip Hop until I saw all of the recent reviews.

I will try...never had much luck with attachments, but here goes.

ETA: There is one pocket that goes all the way across the back exterior that holds the changing pad. I also use this pocket to hold the shoulder strap when I detach it to use the stroller straps.

Thanks so much for the pictures. After spending a couple of months obsessing over the perfect diaper bag for me, I finally broke down today and ordered a red Skip Hop. I really hope I like it. It's not the most stylish thing around, but I think it has more items on my diaper bag wish list than any other I have found.

Thanks again for all the great info and pictures.

Mariana,

What color is your Zooper Z-street? Midnight? Is it the '03 model?

Yup, that's the midnight! I've heard that the platinum is also gorgeous.

The thing that I love most about the Z-Street is how "good" it feels. There's almost no plastic on this stroller at all, so it feels very solid. The fabrics are amazing too, very plush!

Do you think the skiphop is big enough to use as your primary bag? Or is it better left on the stroller and packed for strolling outings????
Planning ahead a few months!!!!!

I jsut got mine in the mail yesterday. I have to say, I was surprised at how *tall* this bag is! I was looking for a smaller bag (I have the EB Backpack) but it's almost as big as that. It will be my stroller bag, and I think I'll get an Ella custom made bag (once we get another co-op) to be my small bag.

It holds quite a bit - more than I would ever need for just a quick run out to the store. I don't like that the center pocket doesn't have a zipper, but the two shorter side pockets do. It makes for easier access into the main compartment though.

Overall, nice bag. I think I will keep it, although when I first opened it I wasn't sure. I haven't had a chance to use it yet and will try to post when I do!

It's definitely a big bag, not small by any means. I can fit a full day's worth of stuff in there. It is narrow, but I haven't found that to be a problem. I just put the things I use the least on the bottom, like blankets, outfits, etc. Of course, Gabriel is 7.5 mo. old now, and doesn't need as much stuff as he used to.

I know that in the beginning, when Gabriel was still a newborn, I carried around a lot more stuff. I would bring an extra shirt for me because he spit up so much. I would also have to bring a lot more feedings and about 5-6 burp cloths! I used my Baby Sherpa backpack for all of that, mainly because of the large cooler compartment that would hold a full days worth of feedings and icepacks. If you're breastfeeding, you won't have to worry about all that!

I've said this a lot, but if I could only buy one diaper bag to cherish for the rest of my baby's youth, it would be a Skip Hop. It's just so functional and useful. I have a lot of other diaper bags, but that only because I have serious issues and love collecting bags. :)

Oh, if you do go for the Skip Hop, I would look into getting a little clutch for it, like the Loom watermelon clutch. It's great to be able to just grab a little thing, instead of the whole big bag, when you have to run in someplace fast, like the bank. I have a few different clutches, but I like Loom's the best, especially for $20. There's something about that ballistic nylon and it's overal shape that make it so perfect. It just slides right into or out of anything really easily.

:)

Can you tell me where I might find one of the Loom clutches? I decided while showing it to a friend this morning that I needed a clutch to go with it, then saw your note!

I bought mine from diaperbags.com, it's the only place I've found them for sale online.

I have a red one. :)

I can see that "diaper bag junkie" could definitely fit me!! My ML is asking me about what I want for a shower gift and I can't decide!!!! I'm thinking about a Skip Hop for the stroller/messenger and an I'm Still Me tote for quick trips. I use a tote now for all my work stuff and just love the ISM fabrics and like the easy access of a tote. At least in the beginning this should work, I HopE!!!! Now I have to go over to the stroller board and read read read!
