Just thought y'all might like to know T2 has a new messenger bag...I was using a T2 Commute bag, but it was simply too big for my needs, so I bought a T2 Metro. I was afraid it would be too small, but to my amazement it isn't. It is similar in size to a LE Little Tripper, but it expands much, much more. Also, it does have one outside cell phone/bottle pocket and a top grab handle. Here's a picture and a link if you're interested.

I really like the look of this bag, but was waiting for someone else to be the first to buy it!! :)

So, it is a little bigger than the LE LT?? That sounds perfect! Also, does it hold wide mouth (Avent) bottles?

What exactly are you packing in it?

And, most importantly, what color did you get? They are all so cute!

Thanks so much for your help!

I have to be fast here. My two year old needs attention. :)
I got the dark green one. This is what's in it.

ISM changing pad
4 - Size 3 Diapers
1 - Size 5 Diaper
Pack of wipes
Cell phone
My wallet
Coupon organizer
Bottle of Tylenol
Bottle of Mylicon
Small pack of Tylenol for me
PDA
Chapstick
Gum
Two disposable bibs
Two disposable handiwipes
Two bendy straws
Couple of "personal items"

It's not as tall as the new LT, but it's wider/deeper. I'll attach a couple of pictures. I could only find a short Avent bottle, but it fit in the outside pocket just fine. I do know a Gerber insulated sippy fits.

Sara,

Thanks for taking the time to post the photos! I have been thinking about that bag and now I have much better idea of what it is like.

Wow! This looks like a really great bag! I'm still really bummed that my Marsupial didn't work out, and have been keeping an eye out for another messenger. This may just be it...

Thanks for the pix!

Oh, forgot to ask - do you think it'd work ok for the gym/pool? I'm wondering if it's sturdy and waterproof enough for that (kids' wet bathing suits, etc.) I don't want to bring my pretty Ella's and WW's to the gym :)

Wow, thank you SOOOOOO much for the great list of contents and pictures too. I HAVE to have one of these, LOL!!! I'm going to wait until after the birth of baby #1 -- b/c if its a girl, I'm gettin' me the pink one! :)

Thanks again!

I think it would make a great gym/pool bag. The gray "liner" on the inside of the bag is more like a rubber coating. I think it would hold wet swimsuits without leaking.

Hi,

Thanks for the review and pictures! I've been thinking about ordering this and was waiting to see if anyone else would review it first. I had seen the small messenger back at REI in sky blue and grey and it was gorgeous, but too big. I was wondering what the pockets were like inside the metro bag? Is it hard to keep organized? I would have snapped one up right away if I could have had the inside divider added.

I had actually approached timbuk2 about a BBB sale, but after an initial email from them expressing some interest, I never heard back even after I pinged them a couple of times. Not even an I'm sorry, we're not interested. Oh well...

There is a large zip pocket across the inside front of the bag. There are also several smaller pockets on top of it. That's were I keep my personal stuff. Against one side of the bag is a mesh pocket that's like a water bottle pocket. That's where I keep the baby Tylenol, simethicone, bibs, etc. Everything else is just stood up inside the bag. I don't find it hard to keep organized. Actually, I think it's easier to use than the LT. The flap opens up so wide (and stays up) that it is much easier to access what's in the bag.

This is the picture from the T2 website.

Sara, a question for you. Do you also own the peewee (small) sized timbuk2 bag? If so, you you mind posting a picture of the metro and the peewee together so that I can see how they compare?

Thank you....
