O what a great idea to do fruit! I think the cherries or bananas would look so cute!
I agree: Either the cherries or banannas!

I love the cherries!!!
Hi Rashmi!
I LOVE all of them but am partial to the grapes because I am a wine freak :) Maybe that is also because it was taboo for so long due to the pregnancy and nursing, though :)
May I ask...WHERE DID YOU FIND THOSE FABRICS?? I have been trying to find a fun, mature, unisex fabric, that I wouldn't easily get tired of, for a cart cover and haven't been able to find anything that I like. NOW I HAVE!!! They are great!

Thanks everyone! I got the cherries!! I wanted bananas on the other side but Cathy said that she will put a matching fabric to the cherries as it is not the side that is visible.
Maybe i will get bananas next time.. i was kind of leaning towards bananas but was out-voted by all of you and dh!!!
Here is the website from where i got it:

I did not have time to shop around.. so I am not sure if these are the best prices. Including shipping, for 1.5 yards, the price was $16.70.
And then Cathy charges $20 for making it plus $4 for the second fabric and $6 for shipping.
Grand total = $46.70... a wee bit more than i wanted to spend.. but i wanted to get a fabric i liked.
If you choose her fabrics it is $32.99 + $6 for shipping.

Can't it be used on either side?I thought most covers were reversible. If so I'd ask her if you could pay a little extra for the bananas on back. She might have said no since the fabric is $8.50 a yard and she could put a less expensive on the back.Just a thought.

(edited to add I just read the break down cost and see it's already expensive with the one side special fabric so I doubt you'd want to add more.BTW does it really take a 1 1/2 yards? That seems like a lot for one side.)

There is a matching pillow that comes with the cart-cover.. it will also be in the same (cherries) fabric.. i guess that is why she needs the additional yardage.

Rashmi, Who is making your cover? I've been searching for a cover and those sound like great prices. Can you give me a link?
THanks, Angie

Angie, Cathy is making it. Her ebay member id is sewcuteboutique. There are some posts in this forum about her work.
You can just email her:

She is really great to work with! :)

So I'm late - but my vote would have been cherries and bananas, too! the cherries alone are going to look so cute - just a perfect color for little Miss Leela.
