After much angst, I decided I want to use Michael Miller's Eiffel Tower in cream, but I'm stuck at picking a 2nd fabric. I'm trying to decide between a black gingham, a stripe, and a harlequin pattern. What do you guys think?

Here's the main fabric:

With either:

Stripe --

Or, the M. Miller harleqin --

I like the Harlequin best with your main fabric.

Hi!
I like the Harlequin. The gingham & stripes seem too busy with the fabric of the Eiffel tower! I am interested in seeing the finished product, I think this bag is going to catch a lot of peoples eyes.

The gingham looks like it is black and white, and your main fabric looks black and cream. What about a solid black with it? I love the towers!

I like the idea of solid black at the bottom and a solid red interior. I guess I just really like black/white/red combos.

Hi, chime in to vote for a solid black canvas bottom: dirt-proof and will make the Eifel tower pattern stand out even more.

You could then add a piping in some bold color to match your interior. I did exactly this: main fabric Disco dots in black and white, pink piping, black bottom, with pink interior. Kim said that the piping will be made out of the same fabric for the interior.

Just my $0.02. Cheers, Lin

I think you guys are right-- I hadn't thought about a black bottom. Yeah! Now to email the order to Kim :)
